Dolls, furries, plushies, morphs, or whatever term you may prefer, these figures are erect, bipedal fur-covered humanoids with animal heads. Are they anthropomorphic animals or zoomorphic humans? They're too furry to simply label them as dolls, and too doll-like to label as stuffed animals. Our creations include characterizations of totem animals, FurryMUCK characters, and just amusing critters. Stuffe & Nonsense 'morph Stuffemals bring characters normally found only in comics or artists' sketchpads into three dimensions. Our soft sculpture animals are artist original designs, hand crafted and detailed.

Due to medical issues and other priorities, we no longer make stuffemals. If you already have one of our toys, we hope you treasure it. Sorry, but we do not know of anyone doing similar work.

Our most common figures were the Japanese animals and various Egyptian gods. Other characters such as the Native American morphs or anybody with stripes are generally one-offs. It's true, however, that no two of our stuffemals are exactly alike. This observation can either be explained by a lack of rigorous production control, or by the fact that they're all individuals.

Ideas for the character figures come from many sources. The Egyptian gods are very direct, because the ancient Egyptians already designed the character and we just need to look at the pictures they left. We came to make Yosemite Pam because we wanted to make a Red Shetland, Jim Groat's chainmail-bikini wearing pony. But the horsehide-look fabric was very hard to work with and it stuffed out with some unintended bulges, requiring more clothes than a bikini. So we dressed her up as a pack horse, complete with hiking boots and backpack. Other characters exist only because of puns, like the Pig Kahuna and his girlfriend Luau. At any given time we generally have a few of these specials around. We've had Lena the lemur, Bravehart the Scottish stag, Sennacherib the Assyrian wolf, and Zorra Croft the Tomb Raider. Actually there has been more than one Zorra. Making her top was easy: just make a lycra tank two sizes too small. And if you should still want some of our old characters like "Fox Mulder" or "Dana Squirly" now, they're special order instead of regular stock.
