Our vampire rabbit (or Sylvilagus vampirus) is inspired by the character in Deborah and James Howe's books: The Celery Stalks at Midnight, Bunnicula and Howliday Inn. He's 18 inches tall to the top of his head, with wired ears that can be posed jauntily upright or draped stylishly with his cape for evening wear. The body is of white synthetic plush and his pads and earliners are ultrasuede. The drained or undrained vegetable in the Rabbit of Darkness' fell clutches is subject to variation. (A "drained" vegetable has had all its vital fluids sucked out by the vampire bunny, so it's white. Duh!) We do not usually have Bunnicula figures on hand, but can make one upon request.

If you haven't already read Bunnicula and related titles you really should, even if you are over 12 years old. They're great fun!

Stuffe & Nonsense Stuffemal plush dolls and animal character figures are original soft sculpture designs, individually hand crafted in California by the Stuffe Staff. While we do have some stuffemals on hand, we usually make them on order, so delivery time for your plush doll will be two to eight weeks. Construction and material details vary depending on our design goals for the character involved and the materials on hand. The plush figures are constructed of mohair, wool, alpaca or high-quality synthetic faux fur. Clothing and costume are also hand-made by Stuffe & Nonsense; jewelry and props are from diverse sources. Stuffe & Nonsense Stuffemals often use glass eyes or small parts and are not suitable for young children.
