The bat-eared fox is in its own genus, Otocyon. They are specialized as insectivores and have very small teeth. There is debate about just how closely the bat-eared fox is related to the true foxes of genus Vulpes, but their conformation certainly looks quite fox-ish.

Hansa also make a series of life-size large animal plush which include a structural metal frame that is light-weight but capable of being "ridden" by children and even adults up to 250 pounds in weight.
