We first saw one of these lovely little golden Bast figurines at a shop in Luxor, Egypt. The shopkeeper was thrilled that we wanted to buy all that he had; unfortunately he only had one. He would have gotten more by the next day, but our boat was leaving at 4 AM so we had to settle for just one.
