Senenmut with Princess Neferure, Block Statue

Senenmut was architect, steward and chief minister of just-about-everything for Pharaoh Hatshepsut, including guardian of her daughter Neferure. The original of this granite block statue is in the collection of the Berlin Museum, and was on display in the recent Hatshepsut museum tour exhibit. Senenmut was apparently very proud of his position as guardian, as there were multiple statues carved of him with the princess, including a relief at his tomb entrance. Painted cold-cast resin figurine is 3.5 inches tall.
