Heket was an Egyptian goddess of fertility and magic, represented as a frog. Frogs seemed to appear spontaneously from the mud after the inundation, so they show strong connection to fertility and to magical transformation. Hieroglyphs on the base of the figurine spell the goddess' name: hkt. Heket frog figurine is painted cold-cast resin, 3.5 inches tall on a base 2.5 inches square.
